Mayor Carletta Davis Launches “Traveling City Hall” Series to Connect Directly with Prichard Residents
PRICHARD, AL — Mayor Carletta Davis and the Office of Civic & Cultural Affairs have officially launched the “Traveling City Hall” initiative. This program is designed to bring local government directly to the residents, ensuring that the voices of every neighborhood are heard and addressed.
The series provides a platform for citizens to listen to Mayor Davis and leaders from various city departments as they discuss initiatives focused specifically on the needs of the community.
Attendees are encouraged to engage, connect, and participate by sharing their concerns and asking questions directly to city officials to learn more about local services. Each meeting is open to the public and will begin promptly at 6:00 PM on the following dates:
- District 1: March 5 – Join Councilwoman Annie Williams on March 5, 2026, at Highpoint Baptist Church, located at 2421 Lott Road, Eight-Mile, AL 36613.
- District 2: February 26 – Join Councilwoman Stephanie J. Norwood on February 26, 2026, at Destiny Vision Christian Center, located at 500 Dykes Road, Prichard, AL 36613.
- District 3: March 9 – Join Council President Traci Hale on March 9, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Prichard, located at 213 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Prichard, AL 36610.
- District 4: March 2 – Join Councilwoman Teresa Fox-Bettis on March 2, 2026, at Samuel Chapel AME Church, located at 717 West Prichard Ave., Prichard, AL 36610.
- District 5: February 23 – Join Councilman Roy Smith, II on February 23, 2026, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, located at 707 Mt. Sinai Ave., Whistler, AL 36612.
