Message from Director
The City of Prichard is a remarkable city, full of distinguished history and diversity. We take
pride in collaborating with our citizens to make our city an even better place to work, live and visit.
The Department of Public Work’s mission is to provide the highest quality public works services to the public and other City departments, balanced through our efforts to maintain a cost-effective operation and to provide these services in a responsible and efficient manner.
This mission is accomplished through the prudent use of resources, technology, innovations, teamwork, and coordination with other service providers in the city.
Our goal is to meet the needs of the public and offer dedicated professional service and
communications. Our website will be used to communicate important information to the great Citizens of Prichard, and we hope you will find it to be both interesting and informative.
We want to meet the current and future needs of the city. If you have any concerns regarding

Mission
The mission of the Public Works Department is to enhance Prichard’s quality of life by working collaboratively with citizens, public and private entities and other city departments to provide public works services that adhere to the needs of the community.
Public Works also maintains and improves infrastructures and physical environment, whileutilizing a highly skilled and motivated work force.

Trash Rules & Regulations
Beginning April 9, 2019, the trash regulations below will be implemented in order to keep our city clean. We ask that you follow the rules, as they will be enforced.
Anyone who does not follow the rules will be fined, or will have the option to pay for a special pickup. Our goal is to make the city of Prichard one of the cleanest cities in the State of Alabama.
