Mayor Davis Announces External Audit Following
Comprehensive Internal Assessment
PRICHARD, AL – Mayor Carletta Davis announces the initiation of an independent external audit following the completion of a comprehensive, citywide internal assessment conducted by the current administration.
Over the past several months, the administration has undertaken a thorough review of policies, procedures, and operational practices across multiple departments. This assessment was designed to evaluate the effectiveness, consistency, and accountability of internal systems. Through this process, the City has identified an urgent need for restructuring and enhanced financial oversight to ensure operations meet the highest standards of governance.
As a result, the City is engaging an external partner to conduct a full audit. This step is intended to provide an objective evaluation of current practices, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions that will strengthen both financial management and overall operations.
The audit will support the City’s efforts to:
