This team brings a proven track record of securing large, competitive grants that cities like ours need to strengthen infrastructure, improve public safety, expand housing opportunities, and invest in community development.
Bringing on an experienced grant writing team is an important step in positioning Prichard to compete more effectively for state, federal, and private funding. These resources will help us move critical projects forward while reducing the financial burden on local taxpayers. I’m confident that this partnership will play a key role in helping our city access the funding necessary to support long-term growth and progress.

I also shared with the Council the importance of comprehensive citywide planning and mapping. As we prepare to bring on a Public Works Director, it is critical that we take a step back and look at Prichard as a whole, examining how land is currently used, what areas are best suited for growth, and how we align that vision with our strategic plan and budget. This kind of coordinated planning will help guide smart development decisions and ensure that our resources are being used in the most effective way possible.
Earlier today, the City Council voted to rescind the City of Prichard’s agreement with The P3 Group. As a result of this action, the City will no longer authorize The P3 Group to represent or act on behalf of the City in any capacity moving forward.
It was my desire, along with that of the City Council, to urgently disconnect from The P3 Group to ensure they do not continue to represent the City while we carefully evaluate and pursue all options that will best serve the needs and interests of our residents.
Everything we are doing right now is about building a stronger, more efficient, and more sustainable City of Prichard. I appreciate the Council’s partnership and look forward to continuing this important work together.
