Mission
The mission of the City Clerk’s office is to work in unison with the City Council and staff, to offer timely and accurate service to the community with the utmost professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. We will dedicate our office to coordinating processes and procedures to fully accommodate the needs of our citizens. We commit ourselves to the growth and success for the future of a “Greater Prichard”. We strive to serve our citizens and our community with a smile!
Responsibilities
The City Clerk’s Office is the information center for the City of Prichard. The clerk’s office serves as a hub for all of the City’s important documents, for example:
Ordinances and Resolutions. The Clerk’s office is responsible for issuing and collecting monies for Business Licenses, Dog or Cat Licenses, Municipal Service Fees and Community Facility Rentals. This office also performs data entry for processing the city payroll and issuing of payroll checks.
Citizens who would like to appear before the City Council, Planning Board or Board of Adjustments can complete and submit those applications in the Clerk’s office.
